I have more than 20 years experience teaching Spanish, including at Berlitz and at the Spanish Institute in New York. I launched SpanishNYC, offering customized instruction and translation services, in 2002. I have taught group and individual Spanish classes at companies including NBC, Nickelodeon, the Miss Universe Organization, The New York Times, Bloomberg, Sprint, Citicorp, JPMorgan, Deloitte & Touche and Pfizer.
I received a Bachelor of Spanish Philology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Ph.D. in Arts from the Universidad de Castilla – La Mancha. I have worked as a Spanish teacher for bilingual schools in Spain and New York as well as tutoring privately. I also write periodically on cultural online magazines
I received a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics to Spanish as a Second Language from the Universidad de Jaen in Spain. I also studied economics and business administration at the Universidad Santo Tomas de Aquino in Bogota, Colombia and have been teaching Spanish to professionals and executives in New York for more than 10 years.
Born in 1978 and raised in Málaga, España, I have been teaching arts and languages to children and adults since 2002 in Washington D.C., Los Angeles and New York. I hold a BA in Fine Arts and Design from University of Maryland, MA and an Interior Design Masters from Florence Design Academy, Italy. I like to express my creativity through different languages, I speak five, and teaching Spanish is my passion and my career.
