Luis Cardozo

Luis Cardozo has more than 20 years experience teaching Spanish, including at Berlitz and at the Spanish Institute in New York. He launched SpanishNYC, offering customized instruction and translation services, in 2002.

Before moving to New York, Mr. Cardozo taught Spanish and trained teachers at a variety of schools in Bogota, Colombia. He received his law degree at the Universidad Catolica de Colombia in Bogota, and later studied international affairs at NYU.

He is licensed as a translator by the Colombian government.

Mr. Cardozo has taught group and individual spanish classes at companies including NBC, Nickelodeon, the Miss Universe Organization, The New York Times, Bloomberg, Sprint, Citicorp, JPMorgan, Deloitte & Touche and Pfizer.

He recently worked as a spanish translator and language coach during television appearances by Miss Universe 2006, Zuleyka Rivera. He was also a language consultant for Earvin Magic Johnson and Greg Kinnear in commercials for AOL.

David García-Casado

David García-Casado received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Philology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Ph.D. in Arts from the Universidad de Castilla - La Mancha. He has worked as a Spanish teacher for bilingual schools in Spain and New York as well as tutoring privately. Mr. García-Casado also writes for cultural and pedagogical online magazines and curates the Spanish blog Vibraciones: http://www.scoop.it/t/vibraciones

Orlando Cardozo

Orlando Cardozo, who was born in Colombia, received a Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College in New York City. He has been teaching adult students at all levels for more than seven years. Mr. Cardozo also works for CUNY TV as a videographer.

Oswaldo Vaca

Oswaldo Vaca received a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics to Spanish as a Second Language from the Universidad de Jaen in Spain. He also studied economics and business administration at the Universidad Santo Tomas de Aquino in Bogota, Colombia. Mr. Vaca has been teaching Spanish to professionals and executives in New York for more than 10 years.

Leila Jacue

Leila Jacue was born in Spain. She received a Master in Education by the University of Castilla-Leon, Spain, and she has a BA in audiovisual communication by the European University of Madrid. She is an experienced tutor with a highly conversational approach. Also, she works as freelance photographer and videographer and has experience on TV and media programming.

Jaime Cubillos

Jaime Cubillos has more than 5 years experience teaching Spanish in New York City. Previously he taught English in Bogotá, Colombia. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, and completed a Translation and Interpretation course at Hunter College in New York City. He has worked as an English and Spanish teacher for bilingual schools and language academies in Colombia, and in New York as a private Spanish teacher, currently also works as translator and independently, develops some projects in Spanish writing and literary translation from English into Spanish.
